Close To Home Senior Living Facilities is seeking Resident Assistants/Caregivers to join our teams at both of our locations in northwest Milwaukee and Wauwatosa.

Schedules may include full time, part time and on-call, all shifts. These positions may include working every other weekend and scheduled holidays.

As a member of our team in one of our assisted living facilities (CBRF) your contributions are crucially important in caring for the needs of our older adults- including their physical, emotional, social, and mental well-being. You are responsible to provide high quality care with dignity and respect while maintaining consistency with facility policy and state regulations.

Responsibilities

The Resident Assistant/Caregiver is responsible for delivering high quality personal care and services to support the Individual Service Plans for each resident, while maintaining consistency with both facility policy and state regulations. As a Resident Assistant/Caregiver you will play a critical role in caring for our residents. Tasks include providing assistance to our residents with their activities of daily living, housekeeping/laundry, assistance with medications, meals, various activities and providing conversation and companionship to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents.

Qualifications

Completion of the four Wisconsin DHS Certified classes (Fire Safety, First Aid, Medication Management and Standard Precautions) is preferred. We do offer a reimbursement program for training if required.

At least 1 year of experience in serving others in a caregiving capacity. Experience with older adults is preferred.

Demonstrated competencies in critical thinking, managing crisis situations, teamwork, the ability to work independently and remain task orientated, and strong interpersonal communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all residents and families.
